ከመውደድህ ከበራፉ ከደፉ ላይ እንደቆመ
ጊዜ አልፎት ሚስኪን ልቤ እጣ ፈንታው አከተመ
ከግምት ስንቱስ ጎደለ እናማ ስንቱን ታዘብኩት
ባንድ ጎን ሀዘን ታቅፌ የነሱነ እፍረት አፈርኩት
አበባ ድሮ ሚሸተን ከርቀት ድንበር አቋርጦ
መንፈሴን የሚያሽፍተው በፍካት ውበት አጊጦ
አሁን ማማሩን ምን ነሳው ሽታው ከወዴት ደረሰ
ምናልበት ደግ ሆኖልኝ ልቤን በደስታ በካሰ
የሱስ ይሁን እረጋፊ ወትሮም ውበት ያው ብርቁነው
ቢራቢሮ ይሏት ፍጥረት እንዲ ያረጋት ምን ሆናነው
ቢነካኩት የማይፀና ያን ውበቷን ተመክታ
አልፋኝ ትሂድእሷምባቅሟ እንዳልነካት ተንጠራርታ
እንዳልኩህ ከሁሉ የከፋኝ ንፋሱ እየገፋፋ
ዱካዬም ከበርህ እንዳይቅር ባዋራ ደፍኖ ሲያጠፋ
ውይ ዝናቡ ምን ልበልህ ስለሱማ ቃልም የለኝ
ምናለፋህ በከፉቀን ተፈጥሮ ነው ካንተ አብሮ ያስቀልመኝ
