Lale Labuko the black gem from Kara village in South Omo. And the standard of masculinity and heroism!!!
He exposed himself and his family members to a dangerous situations for the truth He believed in.. He fought against culture... tradition... and society's thinking. Due to the fact that their upper teeth came out before the lower ones in the natural system or because they fell out; Before marriage, they are named Mingi and they are considered as a curse to bring misery to the community, and they are sent to the cliff, river and cave.
He is an example of a strength!!!! And off course he is a strong person who has saved the children whom the society condemned to be abandoned and die.
You are the sun of Kara village of South Omo!
I'm giving you more respect on what you do!
I am proud my country has owned a hero like you who gives himself up to save others!
To the children he saved from bad taught and death, to the young people he raised in rural villages where education was not known, and to all the young people whom he stood by their side, I praise God who has favored and helped him!!! The jewel of my country, Lale Labuko, the hope of South Omo children, the Ethiopian hero, the founder of Omo Child, I am proud of him
